FILE PREPARATION GUIDE
XEIKON 6000
Roll printing:
– roll width: 50 cm
– maximum print width: 48.3 cm
Files must meet the following criteria:
– color mode: CMYK
– file type: tiff, pdf, jpg, eps, cdr, ai …
– flatten image (the file must have no layers)
– resolution: 200 to 300 dpi
– If your files contain black text on a white background, the black must be prepared as
CMYK (0,0,0,100%)
– If the file contains large areas of black, it is prepared as CMYK (60,60,60,100%)
– If you bring artwork prepared in vector programs (Corel Draw, AI)
Text must be converted to curves
BILLBOARD PRINTING
– For billboard files whose printed size is (e.g. 3×2 m, 4×3 m, 5×2.5 m)
prepare them at 1/10 of the size and at a resolution of 300 dpi, and you can deliver them as eps, tiff, or pdf
PLOTTER PRINTING
– eps, tiff, eps, pdf, ai, cdr
– file dimensions: 1:1
– color mode: CMYK
– resolution: 150 dpi
SHEET-FED PRINTING
– eps, tiff, eps, pdf, ai, cdr
– file dimensions: 1:1
– color mode: CMYK
– resolution: 300 dpi
Please state all important details about the job you are submitting when opening the print order (exact format, creasing, cutting, lamination …).
If the files do not meet these criteria, the print shop will not be able to guarantee the desired quality or accept complaints.
